Madden NFL 27 September Update Fixes Franchise and Gameplay Issues
The first major update for Madden NFL 27 is here, bringing crucial improvements to Franchise Mode, QB retirement logic, and on field gameplay.
manhwa.newsEA Sports has released the September Title Update for Madden NFL 27, focusing on long standing complaints regarding gameplay mechanics and Franchise Mode stability. While the update does not address every menu issue players have reported, it makes significant strides in how CPU teams manage rosters and how players perform on the field.
Franchise Mode receives the most attention in this patch. One of the most welcome changes is an adjustment to retirement logic, meaning high rated quarterbacks and running backs are much less likely to retire in their early thirties. The update also improves how CPU teams handle free agency, preventing them from stockpiling players at the same position and ensuring they make smarter contract decisions to avoid salary cap trouble.
On the gameplay side, the update tunes how quarterbacks throw the ball downfield and cleans up some awkward player animations. Specifically, receivers should now find it easier to maintain separation from defenders during jostle sequences. Defensive players also see changes to man coverage and press mechanics, which should lead to more balanced interactions between receivers and cornerbacks during passing plays.
These changes apply to all existing Franchise leagues immediately. The developers have stated that they are continuing to monitor player feedback for future patches, especially regarding online stability and the remaining issues within the game menus.
