Diablo IV Season of Hell's Legacy Brings 30 Years of Bosses

BlizzCon 2026 brought massive news for fans with the reveal of Diablo IV Season of Hell's Legacy. The beloved character Deckard Cain returns from the dead to guide players through the greatest conflicts in the history of Sanctuary. This anniversary event lets players face off against classic villains recreated for the modern engine, including Belial, Mephisto, Baal, and Diablo himself.

Fans got a hands on preview of the new history exploring dungeons on both PC and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. Surprisingly, the game runs smoothly on the handheld platform with no noticeable drop in quality, even when large groups of enemies fill the screen. The preview even ended with a hilarious nod to community tradition by introducing Moophisto in the classic secret cow level.

According to the recent Deep Dive panel, these classic boss encounters will be spread across Capstone dungeons and open world single room fights. Defeating them will reward players with special powers through unique splinters.

Diablo IV: Season of Hell's Legacy launches on September 15th for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2.
