Catwoman Issue 92 Review: Gotham Faces a Choking New Threat
Selina Kyle fights to protect an innocent child as Gotham City descends into a spore filled nightmare in this intense new issue.
manhwa.newsCatwoman Issue 92 picks up right in the heat of the Batman: Bad Seeds event. As part two of week nine, the story follows Selina Kyle as she tries to keep a terrified child safe while the city around them falls apart. The atmosphere is thick with danger because the air itself is filled with spores that turn people into angry, infected monsters. It is a terrifying race against time where every breath taken could be your last.
Writer Torunn Grønbekk does a great job balancing the high stakes of the crisis with Selina's personal mission. The script uses two different types of narration, which helps us see both the horror happening to the infected citizens and Selina's quick thinking as she faces off against new threats. It feels refreshing to see Selina fighting for something truly meaningful after years of dealing with the darker side of Gotham.
The art team, featuring pencils by Danilo Beyruth and inks by Joe Prado, really captures the decay of the city. They turn Gotham into a brutal, claustrophobic trap where nature and madness collide. The action scenes are particularly impressive, showing off Selina's agility and combat skills as she navigates the chaos. The use of a suffocating pink haze throughout the panels keeps the tension high on every page.
Overall, this issue is a gripping read that makes you feel the exhaustion and stress of the characters. While the story is part of a larger event, it stands strong on its own thanks to its sharp dialogue and relentless pacing. If you are following the current Gotham crossover, this is a vital chapter you will not want to miss.
