Persona 4 Revival Brings Explosive Combat Changes

Atlus and Sega are bringing the classic experience of Persona 4 to modern consoles with Persona 4 Revival. This project includes updated animations, fresh voice acting, and refined mechanics that aim to make the game feel brand new. Fans of Persona 5 will feel right at home with the updated menu layouts, but the combat now offers much more control. Players can now physically block shadows in dungeons, which staggers enemies and grants a tactical advantage before the battle even begins.

The most exciting change is the introduction of Prime Time. This powerful new maneuver acts as a Hail Mary during difficult encounters. When activated, all party members take the stage to use abilities for free. You can cycle through your team, heal, and land massive damage without worrying about SP costs. The sequence concludes with an intense, character specific finisher that adds a lot of flair to your party's attacks.

While Prime Time sounds incredibly strong, we are still waiting to see how it affects the game balance as the story progresses.
