Nintendo Switch Sports Resort File Size Gets a Huge Reduction

Fans planning to pick up Nintendo Switch Sports Resort digitally are in for some good news. The expected file size for the game has been cut down significantly just before it hits the store on October 22, 2026.

Recent updates from the Nintendo Store backend show that the initial 16GB estimate for Version 1.0.0 has dropped to 9.83GB. This represents a reduction of over 6GB, which is great news for anyone who wants to save space on their console for other games.

This change makes the digital version about 38 percent smaller than what we were originally told. It should make the download process much faster when the game finally becomes available for the next generation of Nintendo hardware.
