Nintendo Switch 2 Teardown Shows No Major Screen Upgrades

Fans hoping for a screen upgrade on the new Nintendo Switch console model might be disappointed by recent findings. A technician named Modyfikator Casper recently took apart the updated European version of the handheld to see what changed inside.

While many rumors suggested the device would feature a new 7.9 inch Sharp LCD panel to improve image quality and response times, the teardown reveals that the screen remains the same as previous versions. This means the display technology has not received the boost many players were looking for.

The teardown did uncover one positive change. Nintendo has redesigned the internal layout to make the battery compartment much easier to access. This should make future battery replacements a much simpler process for owners. Even though the screen stayed the same, the improved repairability is a nice touch for those who plan on keeping their console for a long time.
