Naoko Yamada Lived in a Mongolian Home for Her New Anime

Naoko Yamada is taking her commitment to storytelling to the next level. While preparing the upcoming anime Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia, she and director Abel Góngora skipped standard research. Instead, they spent time living in a traditional Mongolian dwelling to better understand the setting. They even tried their hand at horseback riding to get a real feel for the environment.

This production, handled by the talented team at Science SARU, aims to transport viewers back to the 13th century. Yamada explained that the goal was to capture the authentic vibe of the Persian and Mongolian landscapes while keeping the unique art style found in the original manga by Tomato Soup.
