Monster Hunter: World Keeps Selling Millions Years Later

It is rare for a game to maintain momentum so long after its debut, but Monster Hunter: World is still going strong. Capcom recently shared that the title sold another 1.17 million copies during the first half of the 2026 fiscal year. This impressive performance brings the total lifetime sales for the action RPG to 30.83 million units.

This growth is significant because the game first arrived back in January 2018. Nearly nine years later, the community remains active and new players are still joining the hunt. These numbers show that classic hits continue to be a major part of Capcom's success alongside their newest projects.

Fans are clearly still interested in what this series has to offer. With these high sales figures holding steady, it is easy to see why the franchise remains a pillar for the company. We will keep watching to see if these numbers continue to climb as more players experience the thrill of the hunt.
