Magic the Gathering Beams Up Star Trek in New Crossover Set

Wizards of the Coast is finishing the year with a major crossover between Magic the Gathering and the Star Trek franchise. This collection covers the entire history of the series, from classic television shows to modern films. It functions as a partner to the previous Edge of Eternities set, bringing fresh life to the Spacecraft card subtype and the Station mechanic.

Fans of the game will notice that these new ships are much more efficient than previous versions. Iconic vessels like the U.S.S. Enterprise A and the D 7 Battle Cruiser now feature powerful abilities that allow them to hit the battlefield and get to work immediately. By using creature tokens as crew, players can charge up their ships faster and put them into play as creatures much earlier than before.

The set also introduces legendary characters to lead your decks. Captain Jean Luc Picard acts as a powerful support card that creates Officer tokens and helps tutor for ships directly from your library. Meanwhile, Captain Jonathan Archer introduces the Federation mechanic, which rewards players for building a diverse board filled with different creature types.
