Linda Cardellini and William Catlett Discuss Crystal Lake

The upcoming horror series Crystal Lake is bringing a fresh perspective to the Friday the 13th franchise. Showrunner Brad Caleb Kane introduces a new key player, Chief Levon Brooks, played by William Catlett. As a grounding force in a town facing growing darkness, Chief Brooks offers a sense of fairness and hope that contrasts sharply with the struggles of Pamela Voorhees, played by Linda Cardellini.

During recent discussions ahead of the show's premiere, the actors explained that their characters find common ground through the complex experience of grief. While Pamela remains stuck in denial over her loss, Chief Brooks has moved toward acceptance. This difference in their emotional journeys forms a unique bond between them, serving as the heartbeat of their interactions on screen.

William Catlett noted that the process of finding the right look for the early 1970s setting was a journey of its own. After some initial struggles with wigs, the team decided to move toward a more natural style to better capture the spirit of the era and the character. This attention to detail helped Catlett fully settle into the role of a man trying to do what is right for his community.

Audiences can see how this dynamic plays out when the show arrives on Peacock on October 15, 2026. With the series aiming to explore deep human themes amidst its horror roots, fans have a lot to look forward to in this new chapter of the story.
