Jujutsu Kaisen Voice Actor Wants a Break from Yuji’s Screaming

Junya Enoki, the talent behind our favorite protagonist Yuji Itadori in Jujutsu Kaisen, recently revealed a funny detail about his job. During an interview at Japan Expo Paris, he was asked which other character in the show he would pick if he had the chance to switch roles.

His answer might surprise you. He chose Toge Inumaki, but not because of the character's cool powers. It turns out that Yuji requires a lot of intense shouting and vocal strain. Enoki admitted that playing Yuji is tough on his throat after a long day in the recording booth.

Since Inumaki mostly sticks to saying rice ball ingredients, he would be a much easier role to manage. It is a practical choice for a voice actor who has spent so many episodes pouring his energy into Yuji's intense battle cries. Fans can definitely appreciate why he would want a quieter role after all that action.
