Ichigo's Voice Actor Nearly Missed His BLEACH Audition

It turns out the voice of Ichigo Kurosaki almost never happened. In a recent interview, Japanese voice actor Masakazu Morita shared that he nearly missed the chance to audition for the role entirely. He admitted that he was not feeling confident about his chances and almost skipped the opportunity.

Morita explained that he was not sure if he was the right fit for the character at the time. Thankfully, he decided to show up anyway. That single decision changed the course of the entire series. It is hard to picture anyone else bringing that famous energy to Ichigo.
