Final Fantasy VII Revelation Preview Sets Sky High Hopes

Fans have been waiting a long time for the epic conclusion to the remake project. The finale is officially titled Final Fantasy VII Revelation and is slated to release on April 8, 2027, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. Recent hands on demo impressions from Los Angeles show that the game is shaping up to be something truly special.

Players get to take control of Cid Highwind's flying fortress, the Highwind, and sail the skies to go practically anywhere they want. Exploring locations like Mideel and Wutai feels vast without being overwhelming, complete with fun skydiving challenges and hidden rewards. The visuals are stunning, bringing lush jungles and beautiful traditional architecture to life in a way that makes wandering around an absolute joy.

Combat also gets some fantastic new additions, including Cid and Vincent Valentine joining the roster as playable characters. On top of cool synergy moves between party members, the new FITS system lets characters equip classic classes like Warrior, Knight, Black Mage, and Summoner. This adds a fun layer of strategy to team building that fans will surely love experimenting with when the game arrives.
