EA Sports FC 27 Physical Sales Hit $64.9 Million on PlayStation
Physical copies are still moving, but digital sales are clearly the real powerhouse for this sports giant.
manhwa.newsEA Sports FC 27 has seen a solid performance in the physical market. A recent report from Alinea Analytics shows the game sold 705,000 physical copies across PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, which brought in about $64.9 million in revenue.
While selling nearly three quarters of a million physical copies is impressive, the data shows how much the industry has shifted. These boxed sales make up only 8.9 percent of the total $727.9 million the game earned on PlayStation platforms.
This gap highlights a massive trend in gaming today. Most players are skipping the store shelves and opting for digital downloads instead. While physical collectors are keeping retail sales alive, digital storefronts are clearly doing the heavy lifting for major sports titles.
