Crimson Desert RTX 5090 Test Shows Issues With New DLSS 5
Early tests for Crimson Desert on the RTX 5090 show a surprising performance dip when using the latest DLSS 5 technology.
manhwa.newsFans looking forward to the technical performance of Crimson Desert might want to keep an eye on recent benchmark news. A new test using an early version of NVIDIA DLSS 5 on the powerful GeForce RTX 5090 has revealed some unexpected results. Instead of a frame rate boost, the game actually saw a drop in performance.
At native 4K resolution with DLAA active, the game ran between 39 and 43 frames per second. When the early DLSS 5 implementation was turned on, that number fell to between 30 and 32 frames per second. This marks a performance decrease of about 23 to 26 percent during testing. The GPU stayed at full utilization throughout both sessions.
Since this is an early and unofficial version of the technology, these results should not be taken as the final state of the game. It will be interesting to see how the developers optimize this feature before the official launch. We will keep you updated as more information about the technical requirements and performance targets becomes available.
